Volunteers from the Old Low Light Heritage Centre are planning their last plant sale of the season.
This will take place on Saturday 13 August from 10am to 3pm at the centre on North Shields Fish Quay. All proceeds will be in aid of the Old Low Light.
Volunteer and keen gardener, Nina Brown, said: “We are so grateful to all of our volunteers and friends who cultivate plans for our sales which raise much needed funds for the heritage centre.
“Over the past two years proceeds from the plant sales covered the printing costs of the display boards for our exhibition ‘That’s Women’s Work’ and have helped with the costs of the current exhibition ‘Folk who Shaped Shields’.”
Following this sale, volunteers and friends will begin taking cuttings and growing plants for their first sale in spring 2023.
