A workshop will take place at the Old Low Light Heritage Centre for people who want to have a go at weaving Christmas decorations using willow.Participants will be able to choose from a range of decorations, including flat weave small reindeer and angels, 3-d angels, plain wreaths and stars.
The workshop will be led by Lorraine Griffiths, secretary of the Northumbrian Basketry Group and a very experienced willow weaver.
Participants can either bring their own lunch or pop downstairs to the cafe in the heritage centre, which sells a range of delicious toasties, scones and cakes.
