Come and join a event to launch High Street Duets!
On Saturday 11th September we will be launching a series of songs inspired by conversations with people in North Shields and Lancaster. Written by Beccy Owen and Daniel Bye, four brand new songs explore connections and contrasts between these two Northern high streets. The impact of shipping – both maritime and Amazon Prime – and the dreams, hopes and stories of local people.
We want YOU to help us launch High Street Duets in North Shields!
Come along at 11.30am-1pm for a Beccy Owen’s Pop-Up Choir rehearsal at The Exchange, Howard Street, North Shields, NE30 1SE. You’ll get a chance to learn a few of the songs and sing together before we perform live at 1pm on Bedford Street and again at 2pm outside Old Low Light.
No previous experience or perceived musical ability is necessary!
We promise fun, good music, laughter and light refreshments! All welcome!
