In January this talk was a sell out with a waiting list so we are running it again.
During the year when we are celebrating the 800th anniversary of North Shields, Old Low Light centre director Guy Moody will explore the origins of the 1225 date and the historical context of the founding of the town.
This will be broad ranging, covering evidence of the earliest settlement, myths and legends, what the town was like in 1225, its next 100 years and how peace and plenty were brought low by international politics and the activities of kings, churchmen and the collapse of good relations between England and Scotland.
