Pearl Saddington – Community, Heritage and Events Manager
Pearl has been with the Old Low Light team since 2014. Prior to taking up this role, Pearl was Assistant Director at Bede’s World Museum in Jarrow where she was part of the Wearmouth-Jarrow World Heritage Bid team. A strong advocate of co-production, she believes in heritage centres being neutral spaces that belong equally to everyone and as spaces to provoke debates on culture past, present and future. Before working in the heritage sector, Pearl worked in secondary education and regularly guest lectures at Newcastle University to under graduates and to students on the MA Heritage Education Museum Course.
