Harry Rose is a retired college lecturer and a native of North Shields.
He is very interested in the North East whether it is our beautiful coastline, or the grand walking country of the Simonside and Cheviot hills. This interest shows itself in the paintings he has produced of local scenes, and our hills and woodlands. Recently he has been trying to show the wonderful patterns produced by nature shown in plants, reflections and light.
Stephen Elson has had no formal art training but always wanted to paint. Following a successful career in museum management, latterly at the National Museums of Scotland, Stephen has now retired to his adopted homeland in Whitley Bay. He paints manly from his own photographs, but is happy to undertake commissions.
Both Harry and Stephen has exhibited extensively in local an national galleries.
