New book about North Shields Football Club now on sale
Men from the North – the Grand History of North Shields Football Club, researched and written by an Old Low Light volunteer, Trudi Thompson, will be available for sale from our book shop from Friday 12th April.
Its publication, on 12 April 2019, marked the 50th anniversary of the club’s greatest achievement when the Robins won the FA Amateur Cup at Wembley.
Edited and designed by one of our founding trustees, Linda Kay, the book outlines the club’s proud history over more than 125 years. Its foreword is by former Newcastle United and England footballer Malcolm Macdonald, the club’s president.
The book costs £15 and is also available at North Shields Football Club, Daren Perrson Stadium, West Percy Road, North Shields, North Shields Library, Northumberland Square, North Shields and at The Back Page, St Andrews Street, Newcastle and Russell Way, Metrocentre, Gateshead. It can also be ordered by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org (plus £4.50 postage to UK addresses).
All profits will be split between the Old Low Light and North Shields Football Club.
