Built at a modern day cost of £300,000,000 (three hundred million pounds), RMS Titanic was the largest ship in service when she launched in May 1911.

Despite claims that she was unsinkable, and the many advanced safety features such as watertight compartments and remotely activated watertight door on the 14th April 1912 she struck an ice berg, and 2 hours 40 minutes later sunk.

On the anniversary of her fate retired RNLI coxswain Martin Kenny invites you to explore the events of 14th April 1912 with him.
