Following on from the screening of the Tom Hadaway play ‘God Bless Thee Jacky Maddison’ a few weeks ago the Old Low Light Heritage Centre will be showing the ‘Happy Hunting Ground’on the 6th October beginning at 7.00pm. Tickets £2.00 available by at Old Low Light.
The play is included as part of the current exhibition ‘Views from the Happy Hunting Ground’ which runs until the 15th October at the heritage centre. It was commissioned as part of the BBC’s successful Play for Today series, and was first aired in February 1976.
Watch out for the appearance of Tim Healy in his first televised part. Other local notables cast for the production include a young Sammy Johnson and comedian Alan Snell.
