The Crossing the Tyne Festival is a free multive venue event that showcases the vast array of talent which we have in the North East.
This year Old Low Light is happy to host the ‘Mouth of the Tyne Community Choir’.
Mouths of the Tyne are a community choir who sing on Tuesday nights in North Shields at the Baptist Church hall on Howard St. We sing a-capella harmony songs from all over the world and pride ourselves as being a welcoming, open access choir that anyone can join and enjoy, irrespective of their experience and background.
We used to be all women but recently were delighted to include three men to our choir, so if there are any more men out there who fancy a try at singing in a friendly local choir we would love to hear from you. We love to perform and are really looking forward to being part of the Crossing of the Tyne festival at the Old Low Light on 25 August.
You can contact the Choir on Facebook (Mouths of the Tyne Community Choir) or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We are pausing our rehearsals over the summer and resume weekly choir sessions on Tuesday 4 Sept at 7.30pm.
